Global Storming - 2010 Facebook Fan Page winners

From the 25 000 Vodacom Stormers supporters on the official Vodacom Stormers Facebook Fan page, we received hundreds of photo submissions for this year’s Facebook Fan Competition. 

The Newlands Faithful are the envy of teams from around the world. And behind enemy lines lie some of the most passionate fans - those who wear their Stormers jersey and pledge allegiance - even when a million miles from the Mother City.

Fans were requested to post their picture on the Facebook Fan page, wearing a Stormers jersey, waving a flag or supporting the team in front of a major landmark in their home town.  During the season we wittled it down to 20-odd Global Storming Finalists, but in the end their could only be 5 winners.

 

Burger in Bok squad for French test

Vodacom Stormers captain Schalk Burger has on Monday been included in a Springbok squad of 27 players for the one-off Test against France at the weekend.

It wasn’t the fairytale ending that we all wanted, but my message to the team and to you the supporters remains the same – This is not the end for the Stormers, it's just the beginning.

Our strength this season has been our focus on team rather than the individual and as a team we have come a long way and achieved much. There is no doubt that this team can compete with the best and will go on to bigger and better things.
